Imagine traveling back in time to rule the world 1,000 years in advance! When an army embarks on this journey, they encounter fierce resistance from their primitive counterparts. In this thrilling game, you can lead the resistance, commanding hundreds of warriors from diverse cultures across the globe. Whether you choose to focus on a single hero or take command of an entire army, the game blends world-dominating strategy with fully interactive battles, offering the best of both worlds. And just when you think the battle is won, history might surprise you by repeating itself!
This game is primarily free to play, but you have the option to upgrade and tailor your experience. Choose which side you want to play and how much territory you start with. Unleash your creativity with fantasy battles between any two cultures, involving as many warriors as your device can manage. You can even customize every character in the world, though be aware that the game features up to 1,000 characters that are regularly updated.
When controlling a specific character, you can opt for the "Classic" one-handed control system or the "Dual Wield" mode, where each hand is controlled independently. If you're new to these controls from previous games, you can pause the game at any time by hitting the dateline and study the "Controls" guide. Keep an eye out for in-game hints from scrolls or books that you can read.
Switch between team members effortlessly by tapping their health meter or pointing to them on the battlefield. Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to enter "Commander" mode, where you can direct any active member of your team by swiping from their location to another. Whether you want them to relocate, engage an enemy, or pick up an object, they will interpret your instructions as best they can, though they may have other priorities!
No matter the device or control method, you can always zoom in or out by pinching the center of the screen.
In the main "Campaign" game mode, expand your territory by moving units from one area to any connected one. You can either fortify an existing territory or attempt to seize a rival's. Remember, only 50% of the units in a territory are available to travel, making invasion more challenging than defense.
The population of any inhabited territory may grow after each round, so controlling as many territories as possible is crucial. Units will also gradually heal over time, so it's wise to rotate through different locations each turn.
This is the largest scale game I've created, and it may require a high-end device to run at full capacity. To optimize performance, consider keeping the "Population" setting low to reduce the number of characters on screen, or adjust other features in the "Display" options.
There's more to this game than I can fully explain here, so I hope you enjoy discovering its depths for yourself!
