- As of now, The Sims Mobile will be closing after a final celebration event. EA and Maxis announced that the game will shut down permanently on June 30, 2024, following a special farewell celebration. This marks the end of an era for the mobile version of the beloved life simulation game. Key Details: Final Celebration Event: A special in-game event will run leading up to the shutdown, featuring exclusive rewards, nostalgic content, and a farewell message from the developers. Last Day of Play: June 30, 2024 – After this date, the game will no longer be playable on any platform. No New Accounts: Players will not be able to create new accounts after the final celebration. Data & Progress: Unfortunately, player progress and game data cannot be transferred to any other platform or version of The Sims. What You Can Do: Download Your Progress (if available): EA has provided an option to export your Sims and collections (if linked to a EA account) via the The Sims™ Mobile Export Tool (available on EA’s website). Note: This only exports data to a file — it cannot be imported into another game. Participate in the Farewell Event: Log in during the final weeks to enjoy exclusive items, themed challenges, and a heartfelt send-off. Why Is It Closing? EA has not given a detailed public explanation, but the closure likely stems from shifting development focus toward The Sims 4, The Sims 5 (in development), and other digital experiences. The mobile version has faced declining engagement and maintenance challenges over time. While the closure is sad for many fans, it's a fitting end to a game that brought the Sims universe to millions on mobile devices. 💡 Tip: Check the official The Sims Mobile website and EA’s social media for the latest updates and farewell event details. Enjoy your final days with your Sims — and thank you for being part of the journey. 🏡❤️🎮
