Ready to take control of your device like never before? With Keymapper, you can unlock the full potential of your hardware buttons! Whether it's remapping fingerprint gestures on supported devices, tweaking the functionality of your volume buttons, or customizing navigation buttons, Keymapper empowers you to tailor your device to your needs. Even your Bluetooth or wired keyboards, as well as buttons on other connected devices, can be remapped. Just remember, Keymapper focuses solely on hardware buttons, and there's no guarantee that all buttons will work. Your device's manufacturer might have restrictions in place, and this app isn't designed to control games.
You can create "triggers" by combining multiple keys from one device or across different devices. These triggers can perform multiple actions, whether pressed simultaneously or in a sequence. Customize your keymaps further with short presses, long presses, or double presses, and set constraints to make them effective only in specific situations.
However, some buttons remain off-limits. The power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, and game controller elements like the D-pad, thumb sticks, or triggers can't be remapped. Also, keep in mind that your key maps won't function if your screen is off, due to Android limitations beyond the developer's control.
Wondering what you can do with these remapped keys? The possibilities are vast, though some advanced actions may require a rooted device and specific Android versions. Dive into the full list of actions at docs.keymapper.club/user-guide/actions to explore all the ways you can enhance your device's functionality.
Regarding permissions, you don't need to grant them all for Keymapper to work. The app will notify you if a permission is necessary for a particular feature. The Accessibility Service is crucial for remapping to function, allowing the app to listen to and block key events. Device Admin permission is needed for actions like turning off the screen, while Modify System Settings is required for changing brightness and rotation settings. The Camera permission lets you control the flashlight. Be aware that on some devices, enabling the Accessibility Service might disable "enhanced data encryption."
