Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo, and if you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat. You can now step into the shoes of iconic characters from the 2016 version, adding a touch of nostalgia to your gameplay.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack includes beloved characters like Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This pack focuses solely on these characters, offering you the flexibility to integrate them into any scenario you desire, without being restricted to specific crime scenes or case files. Whether you want to revisit old favorites or mix them with the newer 2023 cast, the choice is yours. This addition responds to the vocal demands from fans who missed the 2016 characters and felt the newer ones were a bit too contemporary. There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode called the Retro Rules Set, which harks back to the original 1949 rules. The best news? This mode is available to you at no extra cost. The Retro Rules Set reinstates classic mechanics that alter the way you move and accuse. For instance, game tokens start from designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet traditionally makes the first move—unless she's absent, then Colonel Mustard takes the lead.

In this mode, you can only make accusations while in a room, and Clue Cards are omitted entirely. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players, adding a layer of strategy reminiscent of the game's early days.
