Amazon’s latest restock of Pokémon cards comes with a steep price tag. The Prismatic Evolutions Super Premium Collection is priced at $259.99, a hefty jump from its $89.99 MSRP—a 189% markup. By contrast, Walmart offered it last year for just $59.99.
For collectors set on grabbing this set, TCG Player offers a better deal, listing the box at $224.43 (Market Price). It’s still pricey, but it saves over $35 compared to Amazon, which matters at these price points.

Consider alternatives to save money. The Super Premium Collection includes 15 booster packs, but you could buy two Prismatic Evolutions Booster Bundles (12 packs) for $137.98 or three for $206.92, giving you 18 packs—more cards for less, though without the collector’s box or extras.
Alternatively, skip the packs entirely. With Prismatic Evolutions singles dropping in price, now’s a great time to buy specific cards directly, avoiding the uncertainty of packs. Big-box retailers are currently the least cost-effective option for Pokémon cards, and the secondary market offers better value.

While high-value cards like Roaring Moon ex SIR and Vaporeon ex SIR remain stable or are slightly rising, many Prismatic Evolutions singles are seeing sharp price drops, creating a buyer’s market.
Spending over $200 on a single card might seem steep, but pulling a Special Illustration Rare from this set is tough. With Pokéball and Masterball reverse holos flooding rare slots, your chances are slim. Booster packs cost over $10 each, and most collectors open dozens without success.
Take Sylveon ex SIR: a standout card in the set, its price has fallen 28% in weeks, from $562.60 in early May to around $400 for a near-mint copy. If you’ve got your eye on it, now could be the time to buy before prices climb again. A $260 Super Premium Collection is unlikely to yield it.
For those chasing rare cards through sealed products, here’s what’s currently available.
Beware of prices above MSRP—Pokémon collectors face tricky pricing right now, so shop smart to avoid overpaying.
If you’re set on big-box retailer options, here’s what’s in stock. Always compare prices, as TCG Player is often the better deal in today’s market.
