Midjiwan, the independent studio that created The Battle of Polytopia, has announced a world championship! The Polytopia World Championship 2025 is scheduled for this autumn. The studio is preparing to host this major competition and invites players worldwide to participate.
The Battle of Polytopia World Championship is structured around the Battle of the Tribes theme. Contestants can pick from 12 in-game tribes, each with its own cultural identity and strategic strengths, mirroring the core gameplay experience.
The path to the finals begins with open qualifiers, allowing anyone to compete and advance through the ranks. Top performers then progress to tribe-specific playoffs and elimination stages. The ultimate prize is a spot among the final six players, securing an invitation to the live finals in Stockholm on December 6.
The championship finale will be an in-person event, streamed online for a global audience. Even if you don't reach the finals, you can support your favorite competitors and gain exclusive insight into the Midjiwan development team.
All matches will be hosted on the Polytopia Official Space within the Challengermode esports platform. The competition begins in September, with qualifiers starting on September 13.
Featuring a $10,000 prize pool, the Polytopia World Championship stands as the largest competitive event in the game's nine-year history. Visit the official event page for participation details.
This tournament promises thrilling action! The game has gained widespread popularity thanks to its engaging turn-based 4X strategy and charming low-poly visual style. This championship is expected to expand its player community even further.
