Treyarch has unveiled the full roadmap and launch trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what's in store. From new maps and game modes to Zombies updates and fresh weapons, here's everything you need to know about Season 2.
Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces a robust lineup of Multiplayer maps, aiming to enhance the game's map diversity. While some fans have felt that the initial map collection was underwhelming, Season 2 brings five new maps to the table. Here's a detailed look at each new map:
Bounty (6v6) : A medium-sized map set in a crime boss' penthouse atop an Avalon skyscraper, offering a unique setting for intense battles. Dealership (6v6) : Another medium-sized map, this time set in a luxury car dealership that doubles as a black market front, adding a layer of intrigue to your gameplay. Lifeline (2v2/6v6) : A small Strike map set on the Lifeline yacht, perfect for close-quarters combat reminiscent of the iconic Hijacked map. Bullet (2v2/6v6) : A small Strike map aboard a speeding bullet train, set to release mid-season, promising fast-paced action. Grind (6v6) : A medium-sized skatepark map remastered from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, also releasing mid-season, bringing back a fan-favorite location. These new maps offer a mix of sizes and themes, providing a refreshing variety to the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer experience. Fans of fast-paced action on smaller maps will find Lifeline and Bullet particularly thrilling, aiding in the camo grind.
In addition to the new maps, Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces exciting new game modes, including some themed around Valentine's Day.
The first new mode, Overdrive, adds a twist to Team Deathmatch. Players earn stars for Medals, which grant bonuses, but these reset after a set time or upon elimination. It's described as a "charged-up twist on Team Deathmatch," echoing the intensity of Cranked from previous Call of Duty games.
Gun Game also makes a return, where players progress through 20 weapons with each kill, racing to be the first to complete the set in a free-for-all format.
Two Valentine's Day themed Limited Time Modes will also be available post-launch:
