Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, dubbed Sandlord, has officially launched, marking the game's most expansive season to date. This season introduces a host of new elements that revolutionize gameplay, inviting players to construct their own floating empire in the sky.
The centerpiece of the season is the Cloud Oasis, a city that players can manage. Here, you'll gather resources from the Netherrealm and convert them into tangible benefits by assigning workers to one of five professions. This system unlocks new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards, blending the thrill of ARPG combat with strategic simulation.
The character Thea has undergone a significant transformation, now known as the Blasphemer. She no longer channels divine blessings but instead spreads desecration, inflicting Erosion Damage that intensifies over time.
The Deep Space region has also been revamped, featuring five new stages teeming with monsters and survival challenges. A new item, Probes, has been introduced. These function similarly to Compasses but occupy a unique slot, enhancing both the rewards and the difficulty of your adventures.
The endgame experience is enriched with new Legendary Stages, which, though rare, offer unique loot setups that can significantly alter your gameplay strategy. Some zones, like the Abyssal Vault, deviate from the norm by containing no enemies, only Mystery Chests ripe for the taking.
In contrast, the Sea of Rites introduces a swarm of goblins that don't attack but can be defeated to potentially summon a secret boss. The Supreme Showdown stage allows both players and bosses to utilize the Golden Gaze mechanic, where a well-timed hit can transform enemies into treasure.
As Torchlight: Infinite celebrates its second anniversary, you can download the game from the Google Play Store and immerse yourself in the latest season's offerings.
