What Is Dynasty Warriors: Origins?

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a hack-and-slash adventure introducing a “nameless hero” protagonist, designed to welcome newcomers to the series. Billed as delivering the most thrilling action in the franchise’s history, it leverages modern hardware to unleash massive onscreen enemy battles.

In IGN’s Dynasty Warriors: Origins review, critic Jada Griffin praised:

Dynasty Warriors: Origins kicks off a bold new chapter with mastery. It boasts the largest enemy crowds ever, enhances combat depth, refines storytelling without overshadowing action, and offers robust replayability and endgame content—all with stunning visuals. The amnesiac hero can feel understated, but the vibrant ensemble cast brings the narrative to life, captivating players with every character. It’s an ideal entry for newcomers and a thrilling return for veterans, revitalizing a series that had lost its spark.
