eFootball Announces Collaboration with Captain Tsubasa, Vol. 2

eFootball's Captain Tsubasa Collaboration Continues with Volume Two!

eFootball is thrilled to announce the launch of Volume Two in its exciting collaboration with the popular manga series, Captain Tsubasa! This latest installment brings a fresh wave of themed rewards and exciting gameplay additions.

For those unfamiliar, Captain Tsubasa is a long-running and influential manga series by Yoichi Takahashi, chronicling Tsubasa Oozora's journey from aspiring footballer to global superstar. This collaboration expands on the previous successful partnership.

This update introduces new log-in bonuses featuring special edition cards illustrated by Takahashi himself. These cards showcase iconic footballers like Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi. Players can also collect crossover cards pairing Captain Tsubasa characters with real-life legends, such as Michel Platini with Elle Sid Pierre, or Diego Forlán with Ramon Victorino.

More Than Just a Collaboration

Captain Tsubasa holds a significant place in manga history, alongside Western favorites like Dragon Ball and One Piece. Its influence on the modern sports manga genre is undeniable, paving the way for titles such as Blue Lock. Even those unfamiliar with the series will appreciate its legacy.

Beyond the collaboration, eFootball has also launched in-game qualifiers for the eFootball Championship 2025 Open. The first round runs until February 6th, offering participants a chance to compete for the coveted World Champion title.
