New Fighters Unlocked Monthly in City of the Wolves

SNK has unveiled the next wave of fighters joining Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (COTW) via Season Pass 2. The second season officially begins on January 22, 2026, with the debut of Kim-Jae Hoon, a veteran from Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

The latest DLC roster was revealed in a trailer released on January 15, 2026. The video showcased new gameplay mechanics, balance updates, and a second SNK World Championship. However, it has drawn mixed reactions from fans, with some criticizing the use of generative AI in certain live-action sequences.

Unlike the previous Season Pass’s staggered rollout, Season 2 will roll out one playable DLC character per month. The full list of upcoming fighters in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is as follows:

⚫︎ Kim-Jae Hoon - January 22, 2026
⚫︎ Nightmare Geese - February 2026
⚫︎ Blue Mary - March 2026
⚫︎ Wolfgang Krauser - April 2026
⚫︎ Mystery Character (TBA) - May 2026
⚫︎ Mystery Character (TBA) - June 2026

Classic Favorites Meet New Mysteries in Season 2

Season 2 brings back beloved figures from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters, including Blue Mary, Terry Bogard’s longtime partner, and Wolfgang Krauser, a former villainous force. This marks Kim-Jae Hoon’s first appearance in an SNK fighting game since King of Fighters 2000.

The DLC also features the return of Geese Howard as Nightmare Geese, a spectral variant of the legendary antagonist. While the character previously appeared as a secret boss in the game’s arcade mode, he will now be reworked to better fit the competitive roster with improved balance.

Additionally, SNK has hinted at two mystery fighters, with further details to be revealed later. Based on early social media teasers, one of these characters could be from the iconic anime Fist of the North Star—potentially the protagonist, Kenshiro.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more on SNK’s powerful return to South Town, check out the article below!
