Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving Henry initially unarmed. Fortunately, acquiring the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost is achievable. This guide outlines how to obtain this valuable weapon.

Following your separation from Hans, gaining access to the wedding requires securing a blacksmith or miller position. Even without pursuing the blacksmith role, its map marker conveniently leads you to the bow. The blacksmith job, located in Tachov (north of Troskowitz), is where the prologue concludes and the game world opens.
Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, veer right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area, easily overlooked, is nestled within.

Locate the target with arrows; collect these for ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Nearby, you'll also find brew and mushrooms. Once you've gathered your supplies, resume your quest.
Alternative Acquisition Methods
While purchasable from Huntsman’s Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Given its proximity to the free bow, purchasing it isn't cost-effective. Vitek offers superior weaponry, and alchemy (herb gathering and potion brewing) provides an alternative income stream.
Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged option significantly improves combat, especially given the game's difficulty settings. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's melee combat may not appeal to all players.
After securing the bow (or choosing another weapon), continue to Tachov to become a blacksmith (save after forging a sword) or proceed to the miller to advance the main quest.
This concludes the guide on obtaining the free Dogwood Village Bow early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
