GTA 4 Cheats Revealed: Unlock Health, Vehicles, and More

Grand Theft Auto IV: A Cheat Code Guide for PC, Xbox, and PS3

While GTA IV may lack the over-the-top action of its sequel, GTA V, its cheat codes still deliver plenty of fun. This guide provides a comprehensive list of GTA IV cheat codes for spawning vehicles, boosting health, and unleashing mayhem. These codes function identically across all platforms, accessed via Niko's in-game phone.

Cheat Code Breakdown:

Using Cheats:

Activating cheats is straightforward. Access Niko's phone (Up on the D-pad or equivalent keyboard key), open the keypad (Up again), dial the code, press Call, and the cheat is activated. Activated cheats are saved under "Cheats" in the phone for easy re-activation.

Money Cheats and Achievement/Trophy Impact:

GTA IV notably lacks a dedicated money cheat. Using any cheat code disables achievements (Xbox, PC) and trophies (PS3) for the current session. To re-enable them, save, exit, and restart the game without using cheats.

Modding GTA IV:

While cheats enhance gameplay, modding offers significantly expanded possibilities. However, modding older games like GTA IV can be challenging.

Modding Steps:

1. Preparation: Back up game files and ensure GTA IV is updated.
2. Script Hook Installation: Download Script Hook from GTAinside.com, extract, and copy files to the GTA IV directory.
3. Mod Download: Find and download mods from reputable sources like GTAInside, GTAForums, and Nexus Mods. Follow installation instructions carefully. Always verify the safety and legitimacy of downloaded mods.
4. Launch: Start the game; mods should load automatically (check mod descriptions for activation instructions).

GTA IV is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
