This HP Omen Max 16 laptop comes equipped with a 16-inch 2560x1600 display, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, GeForce RTX 5080 graphics, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Core Ultra 9 275HX offers a maximum turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with 24 cores and 40MB of total L2 cache. According to Passmark, this is one of the fastest laptop processors currently on the market, rivaling the performance of the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D.

Tom's Hardware reports that the RTX 5080 mobile GPU is approximately 15%-20% more powerful than its predecessor, the RTX 4080. It also edges out the RTX 4090 by about 5%, which was previously the top-of-the-line card. Despite being nearly $1,000 cheaper, the RTX 5080 holds its own against the RTX 5090, lagging behind by only 15%. This GPU should handle new and upcoming games smoothly at high frame rates even on the laptop's 2560x1600 native resolution.

The Omen Max is New for 2025
