Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!

Embark on an exciting virtual journey through Japan with the latest expansion for Ticket to Ride, brought to you by Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment. The Japan Expansion breathes new life into the digital version of this beloved board game, now available on your favorite digital platforms.

Help Build the Train Network

For the first time, the iconic Japan map from the physical game has made its way to digital platforms, but with a twist. Instead of solely focusing on building your own train empire, you'll contribute to constructing a national Bullet Train network that benefits all players. This cooperative element adds a fresh layer of strategy to the game.

While you can adopt a sneaky approach, letting others shoulder the workload while you accumulate points, be warned: the game includes a karma system. Neglecting your Bullet Train duties could cost you a hefty 20 points when the final scores are tallied. So, a bit of teamwork is essential, even if you're plotting a friendly sabotage later on.

The Japan Expansion introduces two captivating new characters: Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who's all about the festival circuit and her dog, and Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji or sumo referee. These characters infuse the game with Japan's rich cultural heritage, bringing more than just maps and trains to the table.

Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion

Enhance your collection with the Japan Expansion, which introduces two new trains and two carriages. The Ichi Eki Saki train and the Tsuki Sleeper carriage cater to your leisurely travel needs, while the Isogaba Maware train and the Hayai carriage offer speed and efficiency for those on the go.

With spring in full bloom, the Japan map promises to be a visual delight, perfectly capturing the seasonal charm. The Japan Expansion is available for download now, ready to inject new excitement into your Ticket to Ride sessions. Head over to the Google Play Store to get started.
