Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed Until 2026

Today's delay of GTA 6 isn't the only major setback in the gaming world – Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has also been postponed.

Just an hour after Rockstar confirmed GTA 6's shift from May to November 2026, Skydance Games announced that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is now pushed "beyond early 2026." In an official statement, the studio explained the delay is essential "to fully realize our vision." Notably, no new launch timeframe was specified. This marks another setback for Rise of Hydra, which was previously delayed from 2025 into early 2026 last May.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a story-focused adventure featuring Captain America, Azzuri (the Black Panther of the 1940s), Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, a Wakandan spy operating in Occupied Paris.

The game first garnered significant attention in early 2024 with a striking trailer unveiled during Epic Games' State of Unreal presentation at GDC. It is being developed by Skydance Games, led by veteran director Amy Hennig (Uncharted) and co-president Julian Beak.

Hennig's team at Skydance is also developing an untitled Star Wars game, details of which remain under wraps.
