Reiner Knizia’s My City Is a Digital Adaptation of the Award-Winning Board Game

Spiralburst Studio has released an official digital version of the acclaimed board game My City by Reiner Knizia—a strategic city-building game. Originally nominated for Spiel des Jahres in 2020 and winner of the International Gamers Award for Two-Player Games in 2021, this tile-placement game challenges players to build wisely.

Explore Reiner Knizia’s My City

In My City, you place buildings on your personal board to maximize your score. Each round, a card reveals the type of structure you must place, and your task is to find the best possible location.

Rocks act as obstacles, while trees offer valuable bonus points. As the game progresses, new rules, scoring mechanics, and evolving terrain raise the challenge.

The digital adaptation captures this evolving experience through a full 24-episode legacy-style Campaign, where story-driven levels progressively change how you play.

For added variety, the app includes exclusive modes not found in the physical version. The Randomized Game reshuffles rules, maps, and even the river’s route with every playthrough.

Trees, rocks, and landmarks reposition dynamically, and campaign rules can be enabled or disabled to create a fresh puzzle each session. For those who prefer tradition, the Eternal Game offers the classic experience.

Another unique app feature is the Daily Challenge—a global competition with randomized rules and board layouts. Here’s a glimpse of the gameplay in action.

Lots of options! ----------------

Reiner Knizia’s My City supports both solo and competitive play. Play against up to three AI opponents or challenge real players online in 2- to 4-player matches across platforms.

Offline play is available, along with an interactive tutorial designed for newcomers. The game also prioritizes accessibility with high-contrast colors, color-coded symbols, and alternative building textures.

Discover the game on the Google Play Store—available for $6.99.
