Split Fiction Movie Adaptation Gearing Up as Hollywood Begins Circling

Exciting news for fans of Split Fiction as the game is set to be adapted into a film, according to Variety. The report indicates that multiple top Hollywood studios have been vying for the movie rights, prompting a package to be assembled by Story Kitchen. This media company, known for its expertise in transforming games and other non-traditional properties into film and TV, is currently putting together the writers, director, and cast for the project. Notably, the same team at Story Kitchen previously handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' It Takes Two. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has also been involved in other high-profile projects such as the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. While specific details about the Split Fiction film remain under wraps, the buzz around this project is already generating significant excitement.

Adding to the positive momentum, Split Fiction achieved remarkable sales, selling over two million copies in its first week on the market. This success underscores the game's appeal and sets a strong foundation for its transition to the big screen. IGN's review praised Split Fiction as an "unmissable co-op adventure" that remains "fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration," further cementing its status as a standout title in the gaming world.

In related news, Hazelight director Josef Fares recently confirmed that the studio is already working on its next game, signaling more innovative projects on the horizon from the acclaimed developer.
