Walmart+ Offers Exclusive Early Preorder for Pokémon TCG Black Bolt & White Flare Sets

Despite ongoing issues with sell-outs and scalping in the Pokémon TCG community, Walmart is addressing these challenges by offering exclusive early access to the Black Bolt and White Flare expansions for paid Walmart+ members.

Preorders for various Pokémon TCG products, including Elite Trainer Boxes, Poster Collection Boxes, and Booster Bundles for Black Bolt and White Flare, will begin on June 18 at 9 PM ET. However, only paid Walmart+ members can secure preorders for the first three products while supplies last.

Non-Walmart+ customers can purchase any remaining stock after the early access period. Although the Walmart+ hub page mentions a 30-day trial, product pages, such as the $60 Black Bolt Trainer Box, specify that only paid members can preorder during the initial window.

A standard Walmart+ membership costs $12.95 monthly or $98 annually, equivalent to $8.17 per month.

While subscribing to Walmart+ solely for better preorder access may seem inconvenient, the membership offers additional perks, such as free delivery with no minimum order, a complimentary Paramount+ subscription, discounts on fuel and Burger King, free tire repairs, and free pharmacy delivery.

A challenge with the Walmart+ subscription is that new users are initially offered only a 30-day trial. To gain immediate early access, start the free trial, cancel it, and then resubscribe as a paid member.

Students and recent graduates can benefit from a discounted Walmart+ membership at $6.49 per month or $49 per year, receiving all standard benefits. Verification typically accepts previous student email addresses.

Former Walmart+ members may receive a limited-time offer to rejoin for just $1, providing early preorder access to Black Bolt and White Flare alongside other membership benefits at a significant discount.
