- As of now, The Sims Mobile will shut down permanently after its Final Celebration, which took place in 2024. EA and Maxis announced that the game would close on December 15, 2024, following a global celebration event. Players were encouraged to participate in the festivities, complete final quests, and enjoy exclusive in-game content before the servers went offline. This closure marks the end of an era for one of the most popular mobile versions of The Sims franchise. While the game was well-loved for its deep customization and social features, it was ultimately discontinued due to shifting priorities and declining engagement. What Players Should Know: Final Day of Play: December 15, 2024. No New Accounts or Logins After: After this date, the game will no longer be accessible. No Data Recovery: Any progress or Sims created in the game will not be recoverable. Alternative Options: Fans may consider The Sims 4 (on mobile via EA Play) or The Sims 4 Mobile (which was released as a new version, but currently not widely available in all regions). Tips Before It's Gone: Export your Sims (if possible) using any available export tools or community apps (though official backups are not supported). Complete final events and collect all rewards. Share your favorite memories and builds on social media. While it's bittersweet to see The Sims Mobile go, its legacy lives on in the hearts of millions of players who built lives, relationships, and adventures across the world. For the latest updates, visit the official The Sims Mobile website or EA’s support page.
