Exciting news! Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is now available on the Nintendo Switch Online service.
First launched on Game Boy Advance in 2004, this classic arrived in the West in 2005. The game follows the standalone journey of Renais’ twin heirs, Eirika and Ephraim, as they battle to liberate their kingdom and unravel the mystery of a former ally’s betrayal.
For many, this marks a fresh chance to experience The Sacred Stones. Released 20 years ago, it was only the second Fire Emblem title to reach audiences outside Japan and the last developed for the GBA.
We gave Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones an 8.5/10 in 2005, noting: "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones builds on the original GBA Fire Emblem from 2003, delivering a fresh storyline while retaining the same engaging gameplay. It’s a worthy successor, much like Advance Wars 2 was to its predecessor."
