Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: Lionsgate has officially announced the titles for the next two installments in the action-heist series. Now You See Me 3 will be titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and is slated to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. Additionally, Now You See Me 4 is already in development, promising more thrilling adventures with the beloved group of illusionists.

The exciting reveal was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. He confirmed that the release date for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t remains firm. Director Ruben Fleischer, who helmed the third installment, has signed on to develop and direct the fourth film as well. The franchise, which has grossed $700 million worldwide, continues to captivate audiences with its mix of magic and heist elements.

The original Now You See Me and its sequel featured stars such as Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. Joining the ensemble for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t are Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike. This new generation of illusionists adds fresh energy to the series, while Fleischer reunites with Eisenberg and Harrelson, with whom he worked on his debut film, Zombieland. Fleischer’s recent successes include Uncharted, which earned over $400 million worldwide, and Venom, grossing over $850 million globally.

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will continue his role alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout for the new films. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, saying, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

Fleischer expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”

IGN's reviews of the previous films were mixed. The first Now You See Me received a 6.3/10, with the review noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” Now You See Me 2 scored a 6.2, with the review stating, “Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance.”

With Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and Now You See Me 4 on the horizon, fans can look forward to more dazzling performances and intricate plots from the Now You See Me series.
