Introducing Alexa+, the latest evolution of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, now enhanced with generative AI technology. Currently available in Early Access, Alexa+ promises a more natural and fluid conversational experience. Amazon touts Alexa+ as "more conversational, smarter, personalized – and she helps you get things done," suggesting a significant leap forward in voice assistant capabilities.

At the moment, Alexa+ Early Access is exclusive to select Echo Show devices, including the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21. If you own or are planning to purchase one of these devices, you can be among the first to try out Alexa+. Post the Early Access phase, Alexa+ will be offered as a complimentary feature for Amazon Prime members or can be subscribed to for $19.99 per month by non-Prime users.

However, it's important to note that not all devices are compatible with Alexa+. Older generation Echo devices, including the Echo Dot 1st Gen, Echo 1st Gen, Echo Plus 1st Gen, Amazon Tap, Echo Show 1st Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, and Echo Spot 1st Gen, will continue to use the original Alexa.
