Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Launched at $2,399

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This is an unbeatable price for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the price hikes across other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. If you're looking at other options, Dell's next cheapest RTX 5080-equipped PC is over $4,000. And good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; you'd likely spend as much on that alone as you would on this entire system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is a powerhouse, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, a part of the Meteor Lake lineup, boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of the new Blackwell series graphics cards, which have been nearly impossible to find since their release. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be a significant upgrade – it doesn't offer much of a performance lead over the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a fantastic choice, especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis

Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design echoes the 2024 R16 system but features minor aesthetic and cooling upgrades, along with updated components. The I/O panel has been moved to the top of the case, and the tempered glass window now covers the entire side panel, eliminating side vents. Air intakes are now located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been refreshed with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the new generation of CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
