Bam Margera, despite not being initially listed among the returning skaters for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, is now confirmed to be included in the final version of the game. This news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
According to Bagley, the game was already completed when Tony Hawk reached out to Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Initially, Hawk was told it couldn't be done, but Bagley emphasized that the skateboarding legend was determined to see Margera added to the roster. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this matter.
Bam Margera, known for his past as a professional skateboarder and his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab stints. Margera was dismissed from the Jackass Forever project and was also the subject of a restraining order granted to Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats made against Tremaine and his family.
Adding to the buzz, Hawk and Margera recently shared a video of them skateboarding together, which sparked initial speculation about Margera's potential return to the game.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 was announced earlier this month and is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the project has overcome significant hurdles, including nearly being canceled following the merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
