Bioware's Knights of the Old Republic Now on iOS and Android via Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free release, and it's a big one for Star Wars fans. You can now grab Bioware's critically acclaimed Knights of the Old Republic duology for free on mobile! This move could potentially sway more players to the Epic Games Store (EGS) platform.

Bioware, a developer known for its passionate fanbase and equally vocal critics, has consistently delivered exceptional work within the Star Wars universe. The Knights of the Old Republic series, set thousands of years before the events of the iconic films and TV series, is a fan favorite for good reason. In these games, you step into the shoes of a lone Jedi tasked with thwarting the sinister plans of the Sith. With customizable lightsabers, a range of force powers, and a diverse cast of companions, the series offers a rich and immersive experience.

When the Epic Games Store first launched, one of its key attractions was its free game program. Users could sign up, claim free releases, and keep them forever. While this didn't initially convert many Steam loyalists on PC, it might prove more effective on mobile platforms.

This isn't the first time Knights of the Old Republic has been available on mobile, with the original release dating back over a decade. It will be intriguing to see if this new version on the Epic Games Store has been updated or enhanced in any way. Regardless, offering a critically acclaimed Bioware duology for free is a powerful incentive to boost the EGS's mobile program.

Now, the question remains whether this will attract more players to the platform. In the meantime, if you're looking for shorter, more bite-sized gaming experiences, why not check out our list of the top five new mobile games to try this week?
