Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines several methods to overcome this obstacle and continue your adventure.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken sections. Crossing requires:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
  2. Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may not be available to all party members.
  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids allow one character to cross using translocation, then the rest teleport to their location.
  4. Fast Travel: A character with translocation can reach the Bloodmoon Island waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel there.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry

An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap!

  • With Fane: Fane, being undead, is immune to Deathfog. He can take the ferry alone, reach the waypoint, and then allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
  • Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the second pyramid is used to teleport the rest of the party to their location for revival. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.

Important Considerations:

  • Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
  • If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge is generally the faster and safer route to Bloodmoon Island.

This comprehensive guide provides multiple options for reaching Bloodmoon Island, catering to different party compositions and skill sets. Choose the method that best suits your situation and enjoy the exploration!
