The books' popularity largely stems from their BookTok fame, mirroring the success of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us in 2022. But the series' success isn't solely attributable to social media.

This familiarity, coupled with a fresh narrative, creates a unique reading experience.

Another key factor is the explicit depiction of the protagonist's romantic encounters. The novel seamlessly transitions from young adult fiction to a steamy fantasy romance, a combination that clearly appeals to a broad readership. Dragons, romance, and mature themes – a winning formula.
