Breaking: Fate of Iconic World of Warcraft Character Revealed in Patch 11.1

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: Renzik's Death Sparks Revolution in Undermine

Spoiler Alert: This article discusses plot points from World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined.

The upcoming World of Warcraft patch, 11.1, delivers a shocking twist: the death of Renzik "The Shiv." This long-standing Goblin Rogue, a familiar face to players since the game's inception, falls victim to Gallywix's assassination attempt targeting Gazlowe. This pivotal moment ignites a rebellion in Undermine.

Early access via the Public Test Realm (PTR) has revealed significant story developments. Players journey to Undermine alongside Gazlowe and Renzik to secure the Dark Heart before Xal'atath. Gazlowe's initial reluctance to engage in Undermine's political turmoil is overshadowed by tragedy when Renzik sacrifices himself to save Gazlowe from an assassin's bullet. This event, as documented by Wowhead lore analyst Portergauge on Twitter, is a major plot point.

Renzik's Legacy: A Catalyst for Rebellion

While not a central character, Renzik's death resonates deeply. As one of the original Rogue trainers in Stormwind, he holds a special place in the hearts of many players, particularly Alliance Rogues. His demise serves as a catalyst, fueling Gazlowe's determination to overthrow Gallywix. Gazlowe unites the Trade Princes and the citizens of Undermine, sparking a full-scale revolution culminating in the new raid, "Liberation of Undermine."

Gallywix's Fate: A Questionable Future

The final boss of "Liberation of Undermine" is none other than Gallywix himself. While the raid's outcome remains unseen until the patch's official release, the survival rate of final raid bosses in World of Warcraft is notoriously low. Gallywix's fate, therefore, hangs precariously in the balance. The death of one iconic Goblin might not be the only one in this patch.
