Budget Gaming PCs: Thermaltake with Intel Arc B580 or RTX 5060, Starting at $999

The Intel Arc B580 stands out as one of the best budget GPUs on the market, delivering solid, playable framerates at up to 1440p. Originally priced at $1,399.99, now available for $999.99 at Amazon, this PC offers a significant 29% savings. It features the Intel Core i5-14400F processor, which boasts a max turbo frequency of 4.7GHz, 10 cores, 16 threads, and a 20MB cache. This processor is well-suited for gaming and won't bottleneck the GPU, ensuring smooth performance. The system is cooled by a 120mm ARGB tower heatsink/fan combo and is housed in a stylish Thermaltake View 270 midtower chassis.

The Intel Arc B580 GPU is a standout performer in its price range, excelling at both 1080p and 1440p resolutions. It's a rare find in a market often plagued by inflated prices and misleading performance claims.

Intel Arc B580 Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"In my extensive testing, the Intel Arc B580 proves to be an incredibly powerful graphics card at 1440p, especially considering its $249 price tag. Intel has not only matched but surpassed the performance of competing GPUs, offering a budget-friendly option that doesn't compromise on quality. While the VRAM was reduced from 16GB on the Arc A770 to 12GB on the B580, the performance remains stellar."

If you prefer an Nvidia GPU, you can preorder the Thermaltake LCGS Quartz RTX 5060 Gaming PC for $1,099.99 at Amazon. This prebuilt system features the soon-to-be-released GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, set for launch on May 19. While reviews are pending, it's expected to outperform the RTX 4060, placing it on par with or better than the Intel Arc B580. For a $100 premium over the Intel Arc B580 option, it might be worth considering for 1440p gaming, although the RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) prebuilt at $1,200 is also an option. Note that Amazon will not charge your card until the order ships.
