"Capcom Revives Breath of Fire IV on PC After 25 Years"

The classic RPG, *Breath of Fire IV*, has made a triumphant return to the gaming scene, now available on PC after a 25-year hiatus since its original PlayStation launch in 2000. Initially released in Japan and North America, followed by Europe in 2001, the game made its way to PCs in Europe and Japan in 2003. This beloved title follows the adventures of Ryu, a protagonist with the unique ability to transform into a dragon, as he joins forces with a band of warriors to thwart an emperor's destructive ambitions.

Thanks to GOG's ongoing Preservation Program, *Breath of Fire IV* has been meticulously updated for today's PCs, ensuring a seamless experience without the constraints of DRM. The enhanced version boasts full compatibility with Windows 10 and 11, and offers both English and Japanese language options. Players can enjoy improved graphics thanks to an upgraded DirectX renderer, along with new display features such as Windowed Mode, V-Sync, Anti-Aliasing, and refined gamma correction for superior visuals. The audio experience is also elevated, with restored environmental sounds and new configuration options to enhance gameplay immersion.
