Cassette Beasts releases on iOS, Android release pulled pending approval for new patch

Cassette Beasts, the retro creature-collecting RPG, is now available on iOS, but its Android launch has been unexpectedly delayed. Developer Bytten Studio reports a last-minute snag in Google Play's approval process for a crucial patch addressing pre-release issues.

iOS users can begin their adventure immediately, but Android users will have to wait. The delay is due to unforeseen complications with Google Play's patch approval system.

This setback is disappointing, especially considering the game's highly anticipated blend of classic monster catching, strategic battles, and open-world exploration. While these last-minute delays are unfortunately unpredictable, Bytten Studio assures players that the Android release will resume as soon as the patch is approved.

Unexpected Delays

The unpredictable nature of game launches is highlighted by this situation. The Google Play approval process, particularly for urgent eleventh-hour patches, can create significant delays.

The recent surge in popularity of alternative app stores prompts consideration of a broader release strategy that might incorporate faster approval processes. However, it's likely that the Android version of Cassette Beasts will be available within a few days.
