If there's one thing to be said about GungHo Entertainment's hit puzzle-RPG Puzzle & Dragons—besides its enduring popularity—it's the developer's exceptional fondness for crossovers. So it's no surprise to see another major collaboration launching just before the weekend, as Detective Conan: Case Closed joins forces with Yaiba: Samurai Legend for a limited-time event.
For the uninitiated, Puzzle & Dragons masterfully blends classic RPG dungeon crawling with color-matching puzzle mechanics. As one of the pioneers of this now-popular hybrid, the game tasks you with exploring themed dungeons, solving puzzles on the fly, and battling a variety of fierce monsters.
Available until June 22nd, this collaboration introduces exclusive dungeons packed with special quest rewards. By simply logging in for 10 days during the event, you'll also receive a free pull from the seven-star (or higher) Case Closed & Yaiba Egg Machine.
Draconic DetectivesWhile less known outside Japan, Detective Conan: Case Closed is a beloved series for younger audiences, following teen detective Conan Edogawa. After being transformed into a child by a mysterious drug, he solves mysteries while secretly investigating the organization behind his condition.
Yaiba: Samurai Legend, on the other hand, centers on young samurai Yaiba Kurogane. Raised in the wilderness, he must navigate the complexities of modern Japanese society while embarking on wild, sword-swinging adventures.
The Case Closed and Yaiba quests offer plenty of valuable rewards. Players who clear any quest level will receive 1 Magic Stone, with up to 10 Stones available in total. As expected, Puzzle & Dragons Pass subscribers are eligible for additional exclusive rewards.
