How to Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Before you can embark on the "Under the Straw Hat" quest, you must first start the "In Vino Veritas" side quest in Kuttenberg. Upon arriving, locate Casper Rudolf on the west side of the city, where he's offering free wine samples. He tasks you with gathering information to enhance his wine.

You have two paths to proceed: directly approach Havel to impress him with your wine knowledge, or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and study it for more insight. If you choose to meet Havel directly, ensure you're well-dressed and clean. During your conversation with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as your responses. These are crucial to extract the needed information. Return to Casper with your findings.

Access the Vineyard

Next, Casper requires you to infiltrate a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by sticking to the main road. Speak with the recruiter at the vineyard entrance to initiate the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, past a guard, until you find Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been instructed to report there, and he'll brief you on your vineyard duties.

Working at the Vineyard

Your work at the vineyard begins the following day. Return to the vineyard after resting at the inn. To earn your pay, move sacks to their designated spots and gather plants like Thistle around the vines. Alternatively, you can skip the labor and head straight for the secret incense.

The incense is located in the wine cellar, accessible through the main building's lower level. Be cautious, as these areas are restricted even to workers; getting caught leads to punishment. To enter the cellar, you'll need either a lockpick or the keys, which you can steal from Jerome.

In the cellar, find a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks inside, fulfilling the main objective. Optionally, collect seedlings for Casper to boost your reward. From the main building's entrance, head straight to the opposite door to find the seedlings. Remember, this is also trespassing, so act quickly to gather five seedlings and leave.

If you choose to work, report to Jerome at the end of the day for your payment. Otherwise, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and possibly the seedlings.

By completing these steps, you'll successfully finish both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. From here, you can explore other side quests like "Master Schindel's Toys."
