Master the Art of Artian Weapon Crafting in Monster Hunter: World

Artian weapons are a late-game addition to Monster Hunter: World, offering unparalleled customization. This guide details everything you need to know to craft these powerful weapons.

Unlocking Artian Weapon Crafting:

First, complete the main story and reach High Rank. Then, defeat your first Tempered monster (you'll know it when you see it – the NPCs will be very vocal about its formidable appearance). After this victory, Gemma will initiate a conversation, unlocking the Artian weapon crafting tutorial.

Crafting Artian Weapons:

Each weapon type requires three components. These components have rarity, element type, and an Artian bonus (attack or affinity boost).

• Rarity: Components must share the same rarity to be used together.
• Element: The weapon's element is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. For example, two water and one lightning component will result in a water weapon. Three different elements result in no elemental infusion.
• Artian Bonus: Choose between an attack boost or affinity boost (critical hit chance) based on your preferred playstyle.

Acquiring Artian Materials:

Hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. These monsters are indicated on the map with a blue outline.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster yields Artian parts, found with your other post-mission rewards. Higher hunter ranks yield higher rarity Artian materials. While there's no direct correlation between the hunted monster and the type of Artian materials dropped, hunt monsters you enjoy or need parts from for other gear.
