Criss Cross Castle Battles Illiterati, Out Now

• A delightful word puzzle adventure blended with roguelite features
• Choose to play as Wanda the witch or Pip the Squire
• Discover plenty of side-quests and mini-games

Simply Sweet Games has officially released Criss Cross Castle, an enchanting new puzzle game where you harness the magic of words in a whimsical fantasy realm. I've always been a believer in the power of words to change the world—and here, that idea becomes wonderfully literal. I couldn't be more delighted.

In Criss Cross Castle, you set off on a grand adventure to reclaim stolen words and thwart villains while playing as a charming little witch. By the way, the antagonists are called the Illiterati—if that clever name doesn't grab your attention, I'm not sure what will.

All joking aside, the game is packed with clever word puzzles to solve and hidden treasures to uncover, enhanced by roguelite mechanics that make every playthrough feel fresh. The vocabulary challenges grow more complex as you progress, and when you need a short break, the mini-games and special side-quests offer a perfect change of pace.

You also get to choose between the spellcasting witch Wanda or the valiant squire Pip, adding a nice narrative layer to your experience.
