Finnish game studio Kuuasema unveils Cthulhu Keeper, a darkly humorous strategy game drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's works and the iconic 1997 title, Dungeon Keeper. Currently in development for PC, the game promises a unique blend of classic dungeon-keeping mechanics and Lovecraftian horror.
Players will establish and manage their own cult, sowing fear and chaos throughout the 1920s setting. Building a sinister lair, researching forbidden arts, and summoning Lovecraftian monsters are key elements of gameplay. Expansion involves recruiting cultists, spreading influence through street-level operations, and completing objectives. Naturally, rival cults and the authorities will pose a significant threat, necessitating the strategic use of traps and spells to protect the lair.
