To identify ghosts in Phasmophobia, leverage all available tools, including the perilous Cursed Objects. Each carries a dangerous drawback, so here’s how every Cursed Object operates in the game.

Cursed Objects, also known as “Cursed Possessions,” are special items in Phasmophobia that spawn randomly on each map, depending on your game mode or settings. To use them, locate their spawn point and activate them while on the map.
Unlike the standard equipment in your van, which is entirely beneficial, Cursed Objects offer powerful advantages but come with significant risks.
Activating a Cursed Object can instantly reveal the ghost’s favorite room or boost your team, but it always imposes a penalty, such as rapid sanity loss, temporary blindness, or an unexpected “cursed” hunt.
Use Cursed Objects strategically, as they can sometimes be more trouble than they’re worth. Note that they won’t spawn on certain difficulty levels or in Challenge Mode.

Seven unique Cursed Objects exist in Phasmophobia, each with distinct abilities and severe drawbacks.
All Cursed Objects significantly drain the user’s sanity. When playing in a group, keep your distance from the player activating the object, as a “cursed hunt” is likely to follow immediately.
Cursed Hunts function like regular hunts but ignore your sanity level and can occur even after a recent hunt. They last 20 seconds longer, making evasion or hiding more difficult based on your difficulty settings.
Below is a detailed list of all Cursed Objects in Phasmophobia and their mechanics. This list will be updated if new objects are added in future patches.
