Cyberpunk 2077 Gets 80s Action Movie AI Makeover: Looks Dope

For fans of both retro aesthetics and futuristic worlds, the concept of a Cyberpunk 2077 movie adaptation in the style of 1980s action films is an exciting prospect. Thanks to modern technology, enthusiasts are bringing these visions to life in stunning detail. The YouTube channel Sora AI has been at the forefront of such creative explorations, recently showcasing a concept where characters from the popular CD Projekt RED game are reimagined in a style reminiscent of classic action movies.

While some characters from both the main game and the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion have undergone significant transformations, their core identities remain recognizable, preserving the essence that fans love.

Technological advancements, particularly in DLSS 4 technology, have significantly enhanced the visual and performance aspects of these concepts. The introduction of the new Vision Transformer model has improved image quality through super-resolution and ray reconstruction. Moreover, the ability to generate two or three intermediate frames instead of just one has boosted performance, making these concepts not only visually appealing but also smoother in execution.

Testing the capabilities of DLSS 4 on an RTX 5080 using an updated version of Cyberpunk 2077, with path tracing enabled, has shown remarkable results. The game now achieves over 120 frames per second at 4K resolution, a testament to the power and efficiency of the latest DLSS technology.
