Painter's Regret Treasure Map Location in Avowed

In *Avowed*, acquiring treasure maps can be done through various means, such as purchasing them or discovering them during exploration. The Painter's Regret map, however, is found exclusively in the game world. To locate this map, head to Emerald Stair, the second major area you'll explore in *Avowed*. Specifically, the map is inside a house on the northeast end of Coastal Farms. This house, positioned in front of a rock face, is guarded by numerous enemies that you must defeat before entering.

How To Get Into the Painter's Regret House in Avowed

Accessing the house isn't as straightforward as walking through the front door, which is barred shut. After clearing the enemies outside, navigate to the right side of the house where you'll find a walkway leading to an accessible back door. Once inside, you'll spot a large painting on an easel, which is actually the Painter's Regret treasure map. Grab it to begin your treasure hunt.

With the map in hand, head to the western side of the river southwest of Fior mes Iverno to find the treasure. Your reward for this endeavor is the Painter's Brush, a unique trinket that boosts your critical hit chance by 5%, enhancing your combat effectiveness in the Living Lands.

That's how you can find the Painter's Regret map treasure in *Avowed*. For more on the game, explore the complete list of missions, including all main and side quests, or learn about the playable races in this Obsidian Entertainment title.
