DOOM: The Dark Ages Release Date Leaked

It seems the excitement surrounding the upcoming Developer_Direct is reaching a fever pitch, especially with the accidental leak of the release date for the highly anticipated DOOM: The Dark Ages. A major French gaming site, Gamekult, inadvertently published an article stating that the game is set to launch on May 15. Although the article was swiftly removed, eagle-eyed fans spotted it in the site's RSS feed.

This isn't the first hint we've had about the release window. Gaming insider NateTheHate had previously suggested that DOOM: The Dark Ages would hit the shelves in May, corroborating Gamekult's now-retracted report. With two separate sources pointing to the same timeframe, the anticipation is only growing.

Microsoft is poised to officially unveil DOOM: The Dark Ages at their Developer_Direct presentation this Thursday. This new installment serves as a prequel to the modern DOOM series and promises to maintain the series' signature brutal gameplay, this time set against a medieval backdrop. Fans can expect nothing less than the intense, hellish destruction they've come to love from the franchise.
