Dragon Ball Project: Multi is now Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra
The multiplatform MOBA recently concluded a network test
It features an array of new characters and an all-new game mode to anticipate at launch
Few anime or gaming franchises have endured as long or remained as iconic as Dragon Ball. Though its creator, Akira Toriyama, passed away last year, the series continues to thrive—Bandai Namco has now confirmed that the MOBA-style game Dragon Ball Project: Multi will be rebranded as Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra.
Gekishin Squadra throws teams of legendary Dragon Ball warriors into classic MOBA-style battles. While it diverges from the series’ traditional fighting format, it’s loaded with beloved characters that fans know and love.
Though the network test only just ended, it gave fans a clearer look at what Gekishin Squadra has in store, especially now that its new identity is set. One standout addition is the new Finders Keepers mode, where one team races to locate hidden treasure chests while the other fights to keep them out of reach.

As expected, the recent network test unveiled several new fighters, with mainstays Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta making appearances. Longtime fans will also be thrilled to see returning favorites like Super Uub, Dabura, and Full Power Bojack join the roster.
Gekishin Squadra has gone through multiple test phases, but a full mobile release is anticipated later this year. While longtime fans might lean toward more direct combat experiences like DBFZ, there’s clear excitement around what Gekishin Squadra brings to the table.
