Dune: Awakening Development Progress

Set for June 10 Release

Dune: Awakening is gearing up for its debut with a series of events and activities. However, Funcom, the game's developer, has opted to extend the development timeline. In a post on X on April 15, Funcom revealed that the release of Dune: Awakening has been shifted by three weeks.

Originally planned for May 20, the game will now launch on June 5 for deluxe edition buyers, with a global release on June 10. Feedback from the ongoing Persistent Closed Beta has driven this decision, prompting developers to allocate additional time to refine the game.

Funcom is committed to delivering a polished experience, carefully considering input from beta testers. The extra three weeks will allow them to implement improvements, ensuring a superior gameplay experience from launch day.

Major Beta Weekend Planned

Despite the delayed release, Funcom is keeping players engaged with a large-scale beta weekend scheduled for next month. This event will invite more players to test the game and provide feedback. Additional details will be shared soon.

Funcom describes Dune: Awakening as a groundbreaking multiplayer survival game, featuring innovative gameplay and technical elements. Players can explore its features through livestreams on Steam, YouTube, and Twitch.

Dune: Awakening is now slated for a June 10, 2025 release on PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions to follow later. Stay informed with the latest updates by checking our article below!
