Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space Announces New Collab with Final Fantasy IX

WFS and Square Enix are joining forces for a new crossover event: Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space x Final Fantasy IX, the beloved JRPG released in 2000. Titled "Memories of Another Sky," this collaboration officially launches on December 3rd, 2025.

What’s Included in the Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space x Final Fantasy IX Collaboration?

The character lineup features Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner. This update introduces Magic Stones that unlock unique abilities and reveals hidden loot to discover. Players can ride chocobos during the Chocobo Hot and Cold event and encounter Active Time Events as they occur dynamically across the map.

In terms of the storyline, Another Eden’s protagonist, Aldo, finds himself in an unfamiliar land after falling through a spacetime rift and awakening beneath the skies of Alexandria. Before he has fully adjusted to his surroundings, Zidane and the Tantalus Theater Troupe draw him into their world. To add to the excitement (or chaos), they recruit Aldo to star in their next play celebrating Princess Garnet’s birthday!

This meeting sparks a larger adventure as Vivi and Steiner join the group. Check out the trailer for the Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space x Final Fantasy IX collaboration event below!

In Chocobo Hot and Cold, chocobos can lead you to buried treasures or stone slabs adorned with distinctive artwork. Moogles are also present, offering Mognet delivery missions as a supplementary activity for players.

To celebrate the launch of this collaboration, WFS is distributing up to 2,000 Chronos Stones throughout the event duration. Completing the "Memories of Another Sky" storyline awards you with 1,000 Chronos Stones immediately. Additionally, logging in daily during the 20-day event period earns you another 1,000 stones. The promotion runs until December 23rd, 2025.
