Elden Ring Nightreign: Global Launch Schedule Revealed

The darkness approaches as Bandai Namco and FromSoftware unveil the global launch schedule for Elden Ring Nightreign.

Elden Ring Nightreign officially launches on May 30 at midnight EDT across PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series X|S. Time zone variations allow some regions to start earlier. For instance, Pacific Time players can dive in at 9pm on May 29.

Platform differences also apply. According to Bandai Namco, PC players gain early access in most regions. On the U.S. East Coast, PC gamers can begin at 6pm on May 29, while console players wait until midnight.

Bandai Namco announced pre-loading starts 48 hours before launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. In an IGN interview, Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki explained the focus on solo and trio gameplay. When asked about the absence of a two-player option without a third matchmade player, Ishizaki admitted it was an oversight.

"We overlooked the two-player option during development, and we apologize for that," Ishizaki stated. "Our goal was to craft a co-op experience balanced for three players, which is central to Nightreign’s design.

"As a gamer myself, I understand the desire for solo play," Ishizaki added. "We put significant effort into making the game enjoyable for solo players within the new systems and rules. However, we neglected the duo option, but we’re exploring it for post-launch updates."

If you’re teaming up with a duo partner, prepare to welcome a random third player. You might just find a skilled ally.
