Mark your calendars for July 21, 2025, when Fields of Mistria receives its third major content update since launching in Early Access. This substantial patch introduces relationship mechanics for romanceable NPCs, raised friendship and skill ceilings, additional story content, gameplay refinements, and numerous other enhancements. While developers shared an official roadmap, here are the key highlights players can anticipate.

Romantic Relationships Coming to Mistria

This update delivers highly requested features since early access began last year, particularly regarding villager relationships. Players who maxed out existing friendship levels will discover deeper connection opportunities. Eight new heart events expand character backstories through meaningful interactions.

The new dating system finally arrives - players can now properly court their preferred villagers with romantic outings. While previous versions contained flirtatious dialogue, formal dating wasn't previously implemented. For players preferring platonic bonds, new Best Friend routes offer meaningful non-romantic connections.
