Fortnite Limited Time Mode: Play The Getaway Guide

The Getaway is an exciting Limited Time Mode that was initially introduced in *Fortnite* during Chapter 1 Season 5 and has made a comeback in Chapter 6 Season 2. Here’s everything you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*, including its duration.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Starting The Getaway in *Fortnite* is straightforward. Simply launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and select Discover. Look for The Getaway and hit the Play button to queue up. If it's not immediately visible, use the search bar in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and it should appear right away.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway is a thrilling heist-style game mode where players must retrieve a jewel from the map and escape using a Getaway Van. This PvP mode pits you against other teams vying for the same jewels. The first three teams to secure a jewel and escape in a van are declared winners, but you can also triumph by eliminating rival teams. What makes this iteration of The Getaway special is its availability in Zero Build mode, catering to those who prefer gameplay without *Fortnite*'s traditional building mechanics. You can enjoy it in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked formats.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently accessible in *Fortnite*, but it will conclude on April 1 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. I highly recommend playing during this timeframe, as you'll earn XP that contributes to your battle pass progression.
