Forza Horizon 5 Hits PS5 in April

Get ready, PlayStation 5 enthusiasts! The highly anticipated Forza Horizon 5 is set to hit your console this spring. Mark your calendars for April 25 if you're opting for the Premium Edition priced at $99.99, or April 29 if you're going for the standard version. This exciting news comes straight from the official website's announcement, which also unveiled a significant update, Horizon Realms, launching across all platforms on April 25. This update promises to enrich your racing experience with the addition of four new cars, a fresh racetrack layout at the Horizon Stadium, and a nostalgic nod to past community favorites with returning environments.

Last month's reveal confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 will come packed with all the content available on Xbox and PC, including Car Packs, the thrilling Hot Wheels expansion, and the adventurous Rally Adventure expansion. This move marks Forza Horizon 5 as one of several Xbox-exclusive titles making their way to PlayStation, following in the footsteps of Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Xbox's strategy to embrace cross-platform releases is a pioneering effort among the major platform holders, sparking industry-wide discussions on the relevance of exclusives, especially as game development costs soar and exclusives potentially restrict sales.

For those unfamiliar, Forza Horizon 5 received a stellar 10/10 from IGN upon its initial Xbox/PC release. Our reviewer hailed it as "the result of a racing studio at the peak of its craft and the best open-world racing game I’ve ever played." With such glowing praise, we wholeheartedly recommend PlayStation owners dive into this masterpiece and experience the pinnacle of open-world racing for themselves.
