"Back to the Future's Time Machine Now Available in CSR2"

Zynga is bringing a nostalgic thrill to fans of Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) with a unique crossover event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, "Back to the Future," directed by Robert Zemeckis.

CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future

Starting today, players can collect and race the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the original film. While it doesn't offer performance boosts or special abilities, this fully drivable car is a collector's dream. Beyond the car itself, CSR2 is introducing a comprehensive Back to the Future-themed experience.

The crossover includes a custom in-game user interface inspired by the movie, a new narrative, and a series of events. Players can participate in three flash events centered around the Time Machine, as well as a community competition. Zynga has promised that additional themed events will be rolled out throughout the year, ensuring this is more than just a fleeting update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting quizzes on their social media platforms where participants can win exciting rewards. You can join the fun by checking out these quizzes here.

Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!

While the game won't let you travel back to 1955 like in the movie or even in games like Reverse:1999, the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now available to drive in-game, which is thrilling in itself.

Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, calling the Time Machine one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He expressed excitement about allowing players to virtually race this iconic vehicle while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.

What are your thoughts on this crossover? Will you be taking the DeLorean for a spin? You can download Custom Street Racer 2 from the Google Play Store to get your hands on the new car.
