If you haven't heard, A Game About Digging A Hole is now officially available on iOS, challenging you to—you guessed it—dig a hole. There's no hidden gimmick or clever wordplay here; the concept is exactly what it sounds like. You dig a hole, and life feels satisfyingly simple.
Pre-orders began two weeks ago, but now that the game is live, you can finally start your digging adventure—and the best part is, you can take it completely at your own speed. As you dig deeper, you’ll uncover all sorts of treasures and secrets tucked away underground. Gather your loot, sell what you find, upgrade your equipment, and then keep on digging.
If you're expecting some kind of twist, there doesn't seem to be one—and that's the beauty of it. The core gameplay loop is straightforward, compelling, and oddly satisfying. One mystery does await, however: a suspiciously cheap house you can buy, with what looks like hidden treasure buried in the backyard.

What you do with that information is entirely your call—though I’d guess you'll be as eager to start digging as I am.

Either way, this charming and minimalist time-passer is available as a premium download for $4.99 (or your local equivalent).
